At Lockerbie on Monday 7th December 2009 Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their Annual Christmas Primestock Show and Sale were 1168 prime & cast sheep forward for sale.

The judge Mr Jim Holden of Woodhead Bros awarded the Championship rosette to M/s Illingworth of Howgillside with a pen of 44kg Beltex which sold at £100 to Mr B Taylor, The Butchery, Lockerbie. Reserve Champion was also from M/s Illingworth this time for a pen of Texel lambs which sold at £93. The overall sale average levelled at 182.8p/kilo or £76.22 per head.

Cast Cows
A very small show of cast cows were forward resulting in a steadier trade. Top price per kilo and per head went to M/s Halliday of Crawthat with a Limousin cow which sold at 140p/kilo £1001 per head.
