development ‘vital’
A three-day public inquiry into the H&H Group's plans for an £11
million hotel and offices on Rosehill, Carlisle, was told that the
development was "vital" for
the future prosperity of the city. Counsel Paul Tucker, representing H&H,
said: “It is for H&H's
good, Rosehill's good, the city's good and the county's good that this
application
is allowed."

James
Little is the first trainee to be taken on by Harrison & Hetherington's
farmstock division in a number of years. Aged 16, James has been working in Borderway
Mart's main office for the past six months and has now successfully completed
his probationary period.
His ambition
is to be an auctioneer.

Charity Auction on November 29th 2003 at Borderway, organised
by North Cumbria NFU in conjunction with Harrison & Hetherington
raised £32,701.29.

News Countryside Awards Livestock Farmer category. Edward and Adele
Bindloss with sons Aaron, Simon and Adam, farm 6,040 acres at Shap
Abbey, near
Shap in the heart of Cumbria.
