Junior Champion was a Holstein heifer bred by Drointon Holsteins from Staffordshire and owned by Andrew McKellar. Drointon Journalist Sara also had an impressive win at this year‘s UK National Holstein Show at Bingley Hall, winning the Autumn Calf class. Sara’s dam is a sister to Copywood Integrity Sara Red EX90, National Champion in 2005. She was sold to Quim Serabbassa and Casa Regalao through the World Wide Sires EX Factor sale held in Borderway with Harrison & Hetherington.

In the same sale, Drointon sold another calf to the same partnership that stood second in the Summer Yearling class. Quim Serrabbassa who imported the calves said “...the UK is quickly becoming the number one place in Europe to find the best Holsteins. If the UK starts to attend the European Shows with their cattle, I’m sure they will be very successful.”

Auctioneer Glyn Lucas, who sold the two calves through the World Wide Sires EX Factor Sale, commented that “This is another major win for a UK animal, and I would like to thank the McKellar family again for consigning the two calves, and hope they go on and develop into great cows for their new owners.

Grand Champion at the show was Gualdi Lee Sedia, a Comestar Lee daughter from Italy. The reserve Champion was DB Claire, a Regancrest Emory Derry daughter from France. Both the Champion and Reserve were owned by Casa Regalao.
