H&H Bowe appoints new director

County Durham farmer’s daughter Julie Liddle has been appointed a director of land agents H&H Bowe.

She joined the H&H Group subsidiary in Carlisle in 2000 and is a qualified chartered surveyor and Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.

While her professional work covers most areas of land agency, as with other members of the H&H Bowe team, she has specialised with particular emphasis on planning matters, negotiating land sale agreements with property developers, and landlord and tenant issues with clients throughout the north of England and further afield.

Julie has a degree in environmental land management from the University of Central Lancashire’s Newton Rigg college.

Her studies have also incorporated the business element through her degree in rural enterprise and land management at Harper Adams University College.

In addition, at present she is undertaking a masters degree in advanced commercial property law through Northumbria University.

She was appointed a director of the company in July alongside Tim Parsons and managing director John Robson.

“I am pleased that my appointment allows me to be further involved in the expansion of the business which is becoming more diverse with new appointments as well as offering specialist services to our clients,” said Julie.

John Robson said: “Julie is very strong on general professional work as well as her specialism and because she has grown through the structure of H&H she brings a depth of knowledge to the board.

“She has close links with other departments within the H&H Group, in particular farmstock, which gives us the ability to further develop and strengthen our farmer client base.”

Outside working hours, Julie tutors younger members of the Northumbria and Cumbria Branch of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers prior to their exams. She also has considerable equine knowledge through her own and her family’s background of training race horses.

To aid Julie in her work, Craig Brough, whose family farms at Dalston, near Carlisle, has been appointed as her dedicated assistant.
