Anthony is top of the class

Harrison & Hetherington's Anthony Skelton has passed out with flying colours - coming out as top student in the Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers in Scotland exams.

Anthony, aged 24, who has been with Harrison & Hetherington for eight years, will be presented with the MJ Thomson Memorial Prize for 2004 at next year's institute conference.

Anthony, whose family farms at Low House Farm, Dearham, Maryport, proved his auctioneering abilities at the October Limousin bull sale when he sold a bull for 21,000gns.

His exams included law, taxation, land agency, forestry and agriculture.
