Middleton in Teesdale Prize Show and Sale of Suckled Calves
Tuesday 8th November 2005

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their annual Prize show and sale of 1,393 Suckled Calves at Middleton in Teesdale on Tuesday 8th November 2005. A spirited trade ruled throughout with prices higher than had been anticipated, the overall average levelling at £412.97 (- £20.72 on the year).

Strong interest was shown for the show calves with seven calves exceeding four figures.

The show was sponsored by National Westminster Bank Plc, Barclays Bank Plc, Carr Billington Agriculture, The Yorkshire and North Eastern Charolais club and the North West Limousin Cattle Breeders Association and the Judge was Mr A Bishop, Malvern, who made the following awards :-
