Kirkby Stephen Annual Prize Show and Sale of Suckled Calves
Monday 31st October 2005

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their Great Annual Prize Show and Sale of 715 Suckled Calves at Kirkby Stephen mart on Monday 31st October 2005 where a fantastic quality entry of calves were presented to a huge crowd of local and distant purchasers.

The pre-sale show was kindly sponsored by J G Animal Health and Dugdales Nutrition and judging was in the very capable hands of Mr P Hodgson.

All the show cattle were superbly presented and the following awards were given:-

All cattle sold to a fine trade with prices to the vendors satisfaction, bullocks averaging £460.26 (down £12.40), heifers £397.63 (up £32.24), bulls £385.36 (up £30.68), overall average up £2.93 on the year.
