FRIDAY 18TH & SATURDAY 19TH MARCH 2005 The UK’s leading two day show and sale of continental cross suckled heifer and bullock calves presented an entry of 2,144 head. A double win for local enthusiast Mr Peter Richardson of Sandhills, Bassenthwaite Lake, Keswick made it by winning both the Royal Bank of Scotland heifer and bullock championship quiash. Over the two days, a superb quality offering of stock were presented to the largest ringside of buyers who had travelled from all four corners of the UK. Buyers bid confidently ensuring trade throughout was better than envisaged.
The Reserve Heifer Champion rosette was presented to another black Limousin cross heifer from JC & SE Little of The Guards, Ireby. This was a heifer sired by the registered Limousin bull Calrossie Rodin and is full sister to the 1st prize commercial steer, Dapper Dan, shown at the Royal Highland Show 2004.
