Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held a special prize show and sale of Store Cattle at Kirkby Stephen Mart on Monday 21st February 2005, where 490 head were presented to a packed ringside of customers, some of whom had battled through adverse weather conditions to attend the sale.

The show classes, which were well supported by quality cattle, was kindly sponsored by Pye Bibby Agriculture and judged by Mr A Smith, West House, Carnforth, who made the following awards:-

Bullock

With a large show of mainly younger cattle for summering prices were generally strong, selling to a top of £720 for a Blonde cross yearling bullock from M/s. G R & G Brass, Bridge End. Heifers again found a keen enquiry.
