Harrison & Hetherington
Ltd held their Great Annual Prize Show & Sale
of Suckled Calves at Kirkby Stephen Mart on Monday 1st November
2004 where there was an entry of 720 head.
As usual a great ringside of
buyers
was present at this popular sale and witnessed a tremendous show where
top
honours went to Messrs H R Hayton & Son, Asby Grange with a Limousin
cross bullock purchased by the judge Mr Neil Slack. It was not easily
done though as Messrs K A Brown & Sons, Asby Hall brought forward
a great Belgian Blue Cross Bullock to take the Reserve Championship.
Best cattle sold especially well, but commercial heifers found a better
following than commercial bullocks to average only £19.84 less
on the year.
