MIDDLETON IN TEESDALE MARKET STORE CATTLE SALE
Harrison & Hetherington had forward 297 Breeding and Store cattle
for the Prize Show and Sale at Middleton in Teesdale Mart on Tuesday
4th May 2004.

The show classes were kindly sponsored by K P Scott, Low
Way, the Champion winning the Steyr Cup and £20 voucher presented
by Tunstall Tractors Ltd.
Judging of the show was carried out by Mr James
Crichton,
Egremont
and the cattle brought out were of the highest standard, as is usual
at this noted centre.
A strong class of steers saw a 10 month old three
quarter bred Limousin from J C & J White, Rigg Farm placed first,
and was later awarded the Championship to go on and sell for £1,350
to Messrs Hough, Pontefract.

2nd Prized Heifer - M N Jewitt, Gracies Farm - £600 to C R Horner
In general cattle were a nice trade with younger smart heifers and bullocks
receiving alot of attention. Heifers averaged £30 higher and Steers £23
higher than the previous sale.
