ST JOHNS CHAPEL ANNUAL SALE OF STORE CATTLE AND SUCKLED CALVES Harrison & Hetherington Ltd at St John Chapel on 21st October 2003 held their annual show and sale of 304 strong feeding cattle and suckled calves. With purchasers coming to the auction mart from as far afield as Lincolnshire and Southern Scotland as well as our usual clientele of local purchasers. There was an increase in price of bullocks up £21.07 to £541.66 and heifers up £21.56 to £378. The prizes were kindly donated by Norman Simpson and Sons, Solid fuel, Carrs Billington Agriculture, Barclays Bank, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd. The North West Limousin Cattle Breeders Association gave the Champion
suckled calf £100 as it was sired by a named Pedigree Limousin
bull.
