On Friday 1st November 2002 , Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their Prize Show and Sale of Suckled Calves, with a catalogued entry of 1187 head.

An excellent show of suckled calves was submitted to a very large attendance of both local and distant buyers, bidding throughout the sale was animated, with all classes meeting a very strong trade and in particular green carded bullock calves. The show was very ably judged by Mr Peter Dent, Elm House, Bolton, Appleby
