LOCKERBIE SUCKLED CALVES

The firm sold 704 Suckled calves at its annual show & sale. All classes met a terrific demand with the best spring born bullock calves selling in excess of £200 over their weight and the spring born heifer calves between 100 - 110ppk.

The Champion was a red Limousin bullock from Mr D Brown, Mosshead, Tundergarth, which scaled at 290k and sold at £520 to the judge Mr A Vance, Bridgehouse.

Mr S Wright, Hunthills secured the reserve ticket with a red Limousin heifer, which scaled at 240kg and sold at £350 also to the judge.
