Castlecairn Texels light up Christmas Stars Sale

A substitute entry from the Castlecairn flock of Bruce Renwick topped the sale at 7,000gns. This group one gimmer, A Watchknowe Jimmyspride sired daughter and out of a Cornerstone Isaac bred mother, sold in lamb to the 34,000gn Baltier Kracker ram. She was knocked down to Edward Pugh of Glanllyn Farm, Gwynedd.

Castlecairn Lot 48 - 7,000gns

One of the early entries to be sold was a gimmer from Margaret Lyons Milnbank flock securing the second highest price tag of 5,000gns. This Tophill Joe sired gimmer and out of a Craighead Hercules bred mother, she went to B Baggott of Higher Coley Farm, Staffordshire.
