The Twilight Sale of Texels put together by seven leading flocks attracted immense interest on Friday evening at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.

Beautry Lot 15 5,500gns

Leading the sale was the show ewe from Beautry flock of SC Currie. This group one gimmer, a daughter of the renowned Baltier Jaguar, already has a parade of show awards to her credit. She was successfully purchased by Procters Farm Ltd of Slaidburn, Clitheroe for 5,500gns.

The first entry into the ring set the sale alight at 4,500gns from the Baltier flock of R Forsyth & Sons. A maternal sister to the 52,000gn Baltier King ram, this Craighead Hercules daughter was sold to Margaret Lyons to join her Milnbank flock.
