Dispersal Sale of the
DYKESHILL MV Accredited Texel Flock

A top bid of 380gns led the Dykeshill Texel dispersal gimmer sale
consigned by The Countess of Swinton from Masham, Nr Ripon.
Paying the leading price, for the March born shearling gimmer, was W & WJ
Jardine of Newbigging, Lockerbie. Her pedigree goes back to the homebred sire,
Dykeshill Eric and her mother was a daughter to Beautry Epicurus.
Following at 320gns were two gimmers. The first, a March born daughter of Osbaldeston
Dandy, sold to Messrs Jardine of Newbigging. The second 320gns entry sired by
Leases Heskey, sold to R Dalgleish of Lammonbie Mill, Lockerbie.
Two gimmers attracted 300gns both purchased by Armadale Home Farm, Syke. The
first was sired by Dykes Hill Eric and bred back to Grayrigg Atlas on the mothers
side, whilst the second entry was by Leases Heskey and carried Beautry bloodlines
on the dams pedigree.
Average – 27 shearling gimmers £192.50.
