PREMIER SALE OF TEXEL IN-LAMB FEMALES

On
Friday 5th December Texel in lamb females enjoyed another good trade
at Borderway Mart at the annual Show & Sale on behalf of the British
Texel Sheep Society and The Solway and Tyne Texel Breeders Club.
Leading the days trading was a Muiresk Flamingo daughter selling in lamb
to Knock Impulse from JR Wharton, Galloper Garth, Tebay, Penrith who
was selling a half share in her. She was knocked down at 2,400gns, signing
the cheque for his half was R Wilson, Lowfield Farm, Appleby, Penrith.
Next in line at 1,450gns was a Shearling gimmer from Gordon Gray, Sunnycroft,
Lindeen, Selkirk, she was sired by Ettrick High Flyer and sold in lamb
to Crookholm Impresario, the purchaser being A Ewing, Drumbretton, Annan,
Dumfriesshire.
From the same pen at 1,000gns was another High Flyer daughter
this time in lamb to Tophill Jetstream selling to Messrs Kinloch, Walton
Farm, Cardross, Dunbartonshire.
