Ballaglonney Ltd, Crosby, Isle of Man and Miss Claire Wise, Manor Farm, Little Stainton, Stockton, Cleveland joined forces and held a joint sale of the entire 2001 Gimmer Crop from their respective flocks.

Heading the price list was Ballaglonney with 4 of the 5 top prices being sired by Castlecairn Goodluck. Topping the sale at 3200gns this gimmer out of a Baltier sired ewe, had been shown on the Isle of Man where she gained breed Champion.

The judge that day was Mrs Muriel Johnston, Courthill, Crocketford, Dumfries. Mrs Johnston backed her judgement and went on to buy the gimmer to join the Courthill Flock.

The same breeding combination produced the next price of 3000gns, and now joins the Baltier Flock of Mr Robert Forsyth, Whithorn, Newton Stewart. P J Evans, Ffostyll, Talgarth, Brecon and Messrs Samual, Ridgend Farm, Wichenford, Worcestershire, made a joint purchase for the next gimmer in the price list again by Goodluck but this time out of a Wollascott Winning Shot daughter. She changed hands for 1250gns.

Next at 1000gns was yet again a Goodluck, Winning Shot combination, this Gimmer joins her flock mate at Courthill. J W Irving, 6 Stonehouse, Gretna paid the same price tag to secure a Muiresk Glacier daughter whilst being out of a Cambwell Boxer Ewe.

The Longlean Flock topped at 650gns for a Alwent Gazza sired daughter out of a Longlean Danny ewe, the purchaser being M J Lawson, Kirkland Green, Mealsgate, Carlisle.
