Top price: Topping the Swaledale sale at St John’s Chapel was the shearling ram from T Collingwood, Ambling Gate, which made £8,800.

On Tuesday 7th October 2003, Harrison & Hetherington Limited St Johns Chapel, held the annual prize show and sale of Swaledale shearling rams. With a packed ringside and purchasers from as far afield as Scotland to Derbyshire there was an increased average of £727.56, up on the previous year by £143.47.
