Wednesday 5th March 2003, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby
Stephen conducted the annual Swaledale Sheep Breeders Association Show
and sale of single ewes, followed by Association Flock Books.
The mart was packed
with customers for this annual event which following the previous Autumn
record breaking ram sale, again witnessed another
breed record being smashed for a gimmer hogg when Mr R Hutchinson`s champion
entry sold for £4000 to Mr Brennand, Ellerbeck.

as follows:-
Class 1 Ewe
1st and reserve champion, JR Walton & Son, Newton Lodge. £1700
to Mr Hargreaves.
2nd DA Robinson, Hesledon Farm, £1400 to Mr T Rebanks.
3rd MW Skidmore & Son, Wolf Cleugh, £700 to Mr GA Slack.
