On Wednesday 16th October 2002 the opening day of the Swaledale Sheep Breeders Association `C` District Ram Ram Sale at Kirkby Stephen, Harrison & Hetherington Limited presented an entry of 258 Aged Rams and 88 Ram lambs.

Purchasers were eager for quality animals resulting in an average for aged rams of £594 (+£223.36 from 2000) and ram lambs £465.56 (+£242.38 from 2000).
