SUFFOLKS SELL TO 4,000gns

A shearling gimmer from the Cairness flock headed the special sale of consignments at 4,000gns. The sale included entries for the Roseden flock of J Walton & Sons, the Conveth flock of CA Procter & Co, the Burndale flock of Derek Henderson, the Evandale flock of W & AH Hutchon and from the Cairness flock of J Douglas.

Cairness Lot 186 4,000gns

Leading the sale was the the group one gimmer from Cairness. A Glenho Golan bred daughter and out of a Cairness Gold Dust sired mother, she was keenly bid for and sold to 4,000gns to join the Landale flock for Hazel Martindale of Ecclefechan, Lockerbie.

Also from Cairness was the next leading price tag at 1,400gns. The first entry into the sale ring, a three crop ewe sired by Fordafourie President and bred from a Muiresk King of Diamonds sired dam, she went to Laurelbank flock of David Duncan, Crumlin, N.Ireland.
