MV ACCREDITED IN-LAMB PEDIGREE SUFFOLK FEMALES

Four Scottish breeders joined together to offer a marvellous selection
of inlamb females which saw a leading price of 1,000gns four times over. Consignments
were made from the Wells flock of HP Sleigh & Son of St.Johns Wells,
Fyvie, Turriff, from the Solwaybank flock of IR Barbour of Beechgrove
Farm, Annan, from the Boreland flock of RD Fleming of Hillhead, Kirkpatrick
Fleming and from the Whitestone flock of G Troup of Shaggart Farm, Sauchen.
The first 1,000gn price was for a ARR/ARR shearling gimmer from the Wells
flock. Sired by Laurelbank The Master and out of a Muiresk bred
mother, she was sold to E Bell of Newton of Bromhole, Huntly.
The Solwaybank flock sold two entries up to 1,000gns. The first
was for a one crop ewe by the noted Glenisla Grimaldi sire and sold in
lamb to the 30,000gn ram Stockton Savannah, she went to G Killilea of
Co.Galway, Eire. The second entry was a shearling gimmer also by
Grimaldi and out of a Cairness bred ewe, she was knocked down to
S Cobbald of Acton Hall, Suffolk.
The fourth 1,000gn bid was from the Boreland flock, a shearling gimmer
by Solwaybank Ranger going back to Glenisla The Boss with her mother
and selling in lamb to Stockton Collina. She was purchased by JT & SA
Cannon of Redbrae Farm, Wigtown.
