The Suffolk in lamb season continued at Borderway with the Dispersal of the Balmaud Flock from W & G Strachan, Mill of Balmaud, King Edward, Banff, and the reduction of Messrs Benzies, Meikleson Flock from Meikle Whiterashes, Turriff. Topping the days trade at 2600gns was Balmaud for a Shearling Gimmer sired by Crosemanor Commandeur with Muiresk Ronaldo and Strathisla Legend also in her pedigree, signing the cheque for her was D Henderson, Low Struthers, Allendale, Hexham, next at 2200gns was another Balmaud gimmer bred the exact same way as the 2600gns sale this time the purchaser being I & A Park, 5 East Learmouth, Cornhill-on-Tweed. A 2 crop ewe featured next at 1800gns again from Balmaud, this lady sired by Muiresk Ronaldo, also with Strathisla Legend and Glenisla Globetrotter in her back breeding, also sons from this ewe have already sold to £2200 at Kelso this year. She finds her new home wih Annie Hutcons, Maulscale Farm, Lockerbie. Ewe lambs from Balmaud sold to 1700gns for Glenhead the McCoy daughter going to D Calvert, Southfield, West Morton, Nr Skipton. Meikleson topped at 1750gns for the Stock Ram Conveth King Kev sired by Glenhead Ginola he goes to Shropshire to Messrs Richards, Stoney Stretton Hall, Yockleton, Shrewsbury. At 1100gns was a Muiresk Master Imp gimmer from the same home and out of a Muiresk Marci Marvellous dam, she also travels south to Banbury to Messrs Jeffries, The Yews, Mollington.
