Report: The first was knocked down to W Huddleston & Sons of Barrons Farm, Lanaster, whilst JH Harvey of Ballamenagh Farm, Onchan, Isle of Man secured the second ram which had earlier won the supreme championship award at the pre-sale show. Taking the next leading price tag at 580gns was another shearling ram from the Foulrice flock of Messrs Marwood, which sold to WJ & P Dargue of Swardale Hall, Kirkby Stephen. Topping the lamb ram section at 460gns was the first entry from the Wraycastle flock of JA & R Geldard & Sons of Low Foulshaw, Levens, Kendal. He was successfully purchased by J McCleland of Bogfoot, Crocketford, Dumfries. Close behind at 450gns was a lamb from the Halfpenny flock of Messrs Hodgson, Northfield Farm, Bedale which sold to J Stalker of Morton, Calthwaite. Averages:- <<back |
