On Monday 24th October 2005 Harrison & Hetherington, held their second annual show and sale of Blueface Leicester sheep.

The pre sale show was most ably judged by Mr RE Wharton who awarded the overall Championship to a very smart shearling gimmer consigned by Mrs Roberts of Sowerby Mill, the sheep realising £200. Winning the male section was regular consigners Messrs Hewson of Burgh Head topping at £350.

The top price of the day being £480 for an excellent crossing type shearling from Messrs DJ & JE Lumley of Nookton, Blanchland.

Overall the trade was very satisfactory.
