The trade although less predictable than has been the recent trend was fine with virtually every animal forward being sold to average a most satisfactory £1,150.
The Champion, a much admired heifer, (Lot 21) from Ingleview, and bred from the Cathy family made the top price of 1,800 gns. Consignors R&E Butterfield took home prize money of £200, kindly sponsored by Barclays Bank. Ingleview Fastnet Cathy by Cogent Fastnet now going to Stephen & Anne Morleys Petterill herd. The second highest bid of 1,520gns secured for Wormanby Jolt Maybloom. A 2nd calf cow by Second Look Jolt from H & M Hodgson and familys local Wormanby herd. This milky young cow also won the Reserve Champion title and £100 prize money, also kindly sponsored by Barclays Bank.
