| Sale leader: Bridgedale Samantha which topped the sale at 1,500gns as reserve champion. |
The show was judged by Mr David Inman from the Witherslack herd, Grange-Over-Sands, Cumbria. The sale, a good turnout of young cows and heifers, realised a consistent and competitive trade.
The top price of the day was for the Reserve Champion and 2nd prize heifer Bridgedale Samantha from JD Greenop, Bridgebank, Wigtown. Sired by Haldrey Leadership this stylish heifer goes to Messrs EM & E Pattinson & Son, Walby Hall, Crosby-on Eden, Carlisle for 1500gns.

The second top price was 1350 gns for Criffelhill Omo 25 consigned by
L Brough & Sons, Tallentire, Cockermouth. Sired by a home stock bull,
Criffelhill Troubadour, she sells recently calved to Messrs Harrison &
Sons, Down Hall, Wigtown who also bought Criffelhill Katie 91 for 2,000gns
from the December club sale.
Third top price of the day was the Overall Champion and 1st prize heifer, Criffelhill Muriel 24. This recently fresh heifer, sired by Silky Cousteau, was consigned by L Brough & Sons, Tallentire,Cockermouth. The hammer was again dropped down to Messrs Harrison & Sons, Down Hall, Wigtown, for 1320gns.
