The dispersal sale for H & I Sloan, Hunter House, Lochmaben saw a packed ringside with many local farmers and neighbours there for support. The recent upsurge in dairy trade was quite evident with ten animals selling for £1,000 plus to a top of £1,150. The top price was an in-calf heifer sired by Eastview Meadowlord and due to calve in a few weeks time. This beautiful heifer now joins the herd of RM Wallace, Balmangan Farm, Dundrennan, Kirkcudbright. Volume buyer Mr Kincaid, Slacks Fram, Lochmaben bought the second top price of the day. This Cedar-Creek Bergwil daughter just fresh in her second lactation sold for £1,150. Local dairy producer, M Shadwick, of Raughton Farm, Dalston snapped up what many considered to be the most impressive animal of the sale for £1,100. This young cow was sired by Leadership and was giving 30kgs daily. Mr Harvey Sloan would like to thank all the purchasers for their valued
support and attendance and wishes them every success in the future.
