The 13th Red & White Sale on Wednesday 10th August 2005 within Borderway Mart was professionally judged by Ivie McIlwraith, Canonbie, Dumfriesshire. His champion of the day was Middle Jeans BM by Middle Brook Mitzy and was consigned by Messrs Whiteford, Ruleholme, Carlisle.

The top price of the day was 1,120gns for Stevenson’s Nova 38 consigned by MW & A Stevenson, Kirminoch, Stranraer. This Pinehurst Cornerstone Red daughter from Stevenson’s Nova 21 VG86 sold to JR & LM Graves, Hesket Demense, High Hesket, Carlisle.

The Reserve Champion and second top price of the sale was Middle Venus EM, a recently calved heifer consigned by Messrs Whiteford, Middle Farm, Carlisle. Selling for 1,100gns this Middle Milestone Emerald daughter now enters the herd of W & N Donald & Sons, Lamonby House, Penrith.

D Walker, High Woodfield Farm, Crook, Co Durham took home Morwick Peggy 82 for 1,050gns consigned by DA Howie & Sons. This fresh heifer was also sired by Middle Milestoen Emerald.

Seven animals for 1,000gns and over realising an overall average of £889.74 for 19 Heifers in milk.
