An awesome display of quality Holsteins at the Border & Lakeland Show and Sale were on offer at Borderway on Wednesday 20th July 2005. This top-class calibre of animals resulted in trade being red hot! Mr Robbie Scott of Nethervalley Holsteins professionally selected the prizewinners of the day.

The top price and champion of the day was Stowbeck Storm Mabel. This heifer just fresh was consigned by Skirwith Hall Farms Limited and sold to FD Awde, of Broadmeadows Farm, Melmerby, Penrith for 2,100gns.
The second top price of the day was for a Regancrest Elton Dante daughter, Ewefields Dimple 266 for 1,600gns. This second calver claimed first prize in the cow class and now enters the herd of Messr A & M Barr, Easter Buchlyvie Farm, Crossgates.

Messrs WJ Armour & Son, The Milton, Moffat claimed the third top price of 1,550gns. Annandale Lucy sired by Delta Daly is bred from the famous Lou-Etta family and joins the Hedonsteds herd of Mr A Innes-Smith, Heddonsteads Farm, Heddon On the Wall.
Also consigned by WJ Armour & Sons, was Annandale Spot Ada, a Dovea Sem daughter. Ada realised 1,500gns and now enters the herd of A&C Robertson, East Colmac, Rothesay, Bute.
