A packed ringside watched the sale of the milking portion and heifer calves
from Mr Kit Dinning of Eastfield Services non pedigree, milk recorded Holstein
herd come under the hammer.
A well respected herd of milky Holsteins averaging
8,285kgs @ 3.88BF and 3.26P met with some aggressive bidding.
The top price
of £1,250 was paid for a fresh calved cow in her second lactation sired
by Eros with an awesome udder. She now joins the herd of Seymour Farms of
Leegate, Wigton. Another correct young cow sired by Marshall reached £850
selling to AS & CE Coulthard of Justicetown Farm, Westlinton.
