the surrounding counties but also West Wales and Devon. Thirty animals

Top price was 1300 gns. paid for a freshly calved second lactation

Next highest bid was 1250 gns. for a Lexvold Luke Hershel daughter
giving 36 kgs. daily. This freshly calved two year old had been in
milk for one month and joined a large group of animals heading west
down the M4 to Dyfed. The successful purchaser was Mr. R. Watkins,
Narberth. Also at 1250 gns. was another Hershel daughter bred from
a 9000 kgs. dam and fresh just one month. Sold giving 32 kgs. daily
she was bought by Ludchurch Farms Ltd., also of Narberth, Dyfed.
In-calf heifers sold to 950 gns. for a daughter of Norrielake Cleitus
Luke, due mid October to the Hereford Bull. Bulling heifers made up
to 580 gns. on numerous occasions and there was an exceptional trade
on the yearling heifers and calves with most lots achieving over 400
