The Cumrew Dispersal Sale, comprising 205 individual animals, was held at Borderway Mart, Carlisle on Thursday 9th October 2003. The packed ringside saw a fine trade especially with keen demand for recently calved heifers and youngstock.

The Reserve Junior Champion, Champion Interbreed Exhibitor Bred heifer at the Dairy Event 2003 Cumrew Journalist Debra VG87 (2yr) realised 5,000gns. This Journalist daughter is the 5th successive generation of VG cows and now enters the Ballycrochan Herd for JA Patterson, Ballycrochan Road, Bangor, Co Down, Northern Ireland. Mr T Forsythe, Isle Farm, Whithorn, Newton Stewart was the last bidder on her heifer calf by Calbrett-I HH Champion selling for 1,500gns.

Cumrew Progress Frances VG86 a Progress daughter from VG88 Integrity sold for 3,200 gns to Mesr WA & A Booth, Old Hall, Feizor, Austwich,Lancaster. This stylish VG 2 year old sold fresh in her first lactation giving 29.8kgs daily. A daughter of Be-Ware Juror Geno, Cumrew Geno Rosecca GP83 (2yr) sold for 1,800gns to Baileys Farms Limited, Crook-O-Lune Farm, Howgill, Kendal. Recently fresh and milking 34.6kgs daily she is back in calf to Comestar Outside.

Cumrew Formation Victoria EX92-2E, made 1,600gns to RM & N Wainwright & Son, Castle Farm, Low Hesket, Carlisle. In her third lactation, this Formation daughter, completes the 2nd straight generation of Excellent cows.
