The leading price was attracted for Rosslyn Zoe 8 classified EX90, a Startmore Rudolph daughter and out of a Caernarvon Jogger. Having just gone into her third lactation in February, she was knocked down to local breeder Mr Brian Salisbury of Beech Farm, Raughton Head, Carlisle.

A VG86 (2yo) Second Look Jolt daughter, Rosslyn Kitty, fetched the one of two second leading price tags at 1,800gns. Another February calver milking at nearly 45kgs daily, she was sold to Berwickshire breeder Mr T Hodge of Rulesmains, Duns.

The other 1,800gn bid was paid for an incalf heifer, Rosslyn Squaw PI 2 who is bred from the well respected Mouldyhills family of Squaws. By Haldrey Leadership and bred to Dixie Lee Aaron, she now travels east for E. Spence & Son at Frankham near Hexham.

Following on at 1,700gns was Keirsbeath Primrose 148, a daughter of Huddlesford Floatation. A fourth calver selling in calf to Lexvold Luke Hershel, she was knocked down to Messrs AL Dean & Son of Toft House Farm, Nr Skipton.

All cattle sold well with particular interest being sought after in the youngstock section.

Averages – 92 cows and heifers in milk and/or in calf £995.78, 97 served heifers and bulling heifers £733.16.
