5,000GNS FOR PENNYS TESS AT FIRST WHITE ROSE GROUP SALE

Pennys Tess from Paul and Penny Walker's herd at Wilfholme Farm, Watton, Driffield lifted the top price of 5,000gns for the first sale on behalf of the White Rose Limousin Group. Tess carries an EBV of LM+34 and is by one of the group bulls Pennys Nimrod, a Ronick Hawk son, and her mother is a Haltcliffe Hercules daughter. Tess now joins Harry Emslies herd based at Brae of Coynach, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.

The next leading price tag for the group came from the Rachels herd of Mark Woolhouse, Staveley Wold, North Dalton, Driffield. At 2,700gns Rachels Topaz, a Rachels Luigi daughter, was sold to Messrs GL & D Reid of South Park House, Muthill, Crieff.

The third member of the group was the Scorboro herd of Jim and Richard Bloom, Decoy Farm, Scorborough, Driffield. Leading their consignment at 2,400gns was Scorboro Teazel, a Scorboro Ramrod daughter. She was also sold to Messrs Reid of Crieff.

Also in the sale was the dispersal of the Knockhill herd from Messrs W W Powner & Son, St.Vedas, Coldingham Sands, Berwickshire. Knockhill Rose, an incalf cow by Newhouse Noel, was sold for 2,500gns to Mr P Hill of Old Hall Farm, Whitby.
