STAVELEY OUTFIT SELLS FOR 14,500GNS
The heifer and calf outfit from William Bedell sold for the leading price
of 14,500gns on Saturday 4th September 2004. Staveley Rebecca, an Octave
daughter, sold in calf to Picaro and with her heifer calf at foot Staveley
Valerie,
the unit were successfully bought by a telephone bid from Smiths of Bloxham
to join their Ironstone herd at Banbury.
Selling for 8,000gns was Grahams Trudy, an in-calf heifer from Robert
Graham of Stirling. Trudy, a Grahams Poncho daughter, was part of the
Grahams show team during 2004. Out of the French bred cow Guerriere,
she sold in calf to Waindale Prime and was knocked down to Mr & Mrs
DK Wheeler for their Rosecroft herd based near Cullompton, Devon.
