TROY MARCHES OFF WITH LEADING PRICE OF £6,200
FOR GUARDS HERD
Local Carlisle breeders JC & SE Little led the summer Limousin sale
of bulls and females with their bull entry Guards Troy (lot 30) at 6,200gns.
Troy, an August 2002 born son of Calrossie Rodin a Broadmeadows Cannon
bred bull, and out of a Sarkley bred mother sold to GR Jones of the Whiterock
herd based in Oswestry.
Leading the female section at 4,100gns, was another local breeder Stephanie
Foster with her maiden heifer Briarlea Tabby (lot 159). She is by the
homebred bull Briarlea Romeo a Cannon son and was out of a Djerk bred
daughter Staveley Nancy. This very much admired heifer attracted much
interest and was finally knocked down to Alan Roberts to join his Hafodlas
Herd at Betws-y-Coed, Gwynedd.
