191 LIMOUSIN BULLS SELL TO A TOP OF 23,000GNS AT CARLISLE

Two bulls over 20,000gns – Nineteen over 5000gns – 78% clearance
Average of £3600 for 191 bulls

The terrific depth in demand for Limousin bulls continued unabated at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, on Friday May 2nd. Two bulls broke through the 20,000gns mark, a further five made over 10,000gns and nineteen in total went through the 5000gns mark. Commercial beef producers and pedigree breeders competed fiercely for the 245 bulls forward resulting in 191 selling at an average of £3614.75. This represented a 78% clearance of bulls and an increase of 41 bulls sold on the corresponding sale in 2002.
