The British Blonde Society Show & Sale saw only a small number of bulls and females forward on Friday 29th July 2005. Leading the way in the show ring was the supreme champion Doncombe Virtuoso, consigned by David Knight & Sue Cavilla. Virtuoso is the son of the highly acclaimed Druk Lance sire and sold for 2,200gns to Mr G Venton of Ayrshire. Reserve Champion and top price bull of the day was Ivaniskey Vincent consigned by Mrs R McElroy. Vincent is a son of the noted Blackwater Jockey and out of Ivaniskey Suzanna, herself being a well known show cow in Northern Ireland being the winner of the RUAS in 2003 & 2004. Vincent made 4,800gns and was purchased by Mr EA Mutch for his Whitefield Herd. Next Top prices were L & PA Haygarth’s, Rayneside Victor selling at 2,200gns to Mr C Jones & Co, Welshpool, and again in the top prices was David Knights Doncombe Viper bite at 2,000gns to EA Greed, Exeter. Hillhead Blondes topped the female prices with Hillhead Ultravox an in-calf heifer selling at 1,500gns to A Duckworth, Clitheroe, Lancashire. Next was Whitefield Urchin, consigned by Eric Mutch, Urchin had been served by Whitefield Strobe, this years Highland Show Champion and sold again to A Duckworth for 1,400gns.
