Supreme Champion from Doncombe herd sells for top price at 6,400gns

| Supreme Champion Doncombe Utgard
6,400gns |
The junior male champion Doncombe Utgard lifted the supreme champion and secured
the top price of the sale at 6,400gns. This much admired February 2003 born son
of Druk Lance from David Knight now joins the Beech herd for Ed and Joanne Crozier
from Heads Nook.
Early in the sale three bulls both sold for 3,000gns each. The first
from Roger Williams of the Pembridge herd based at Leominster was Pembridge
Tycoon, a May
2002 born son of Whitefield Leader. He sold to WAM Hall of Knockneen, Stranraer.
The second 3,000gn price tag went to the senior male champion, Eilean Thunder,
from MAG McSporran of Forge Cottage, Fala. Thunder, sired by Whistley dollar
and out of a Flambeau bred daughter, travels south for JR & HH Thomas of
Woodmore Farm, Montgomery. The third 3,000gn bid went to Easterton Torrent
from John Owen of Kirkintilloch, Glasgow. Torrent, a son of Kinaston Nyle sold
to
AR Bell of Burnside, Kirkton, Hawick.
In the female classes the female champion from Peter de Giles, Bilsington Tease,
took the leading price at 1,500gns. Tease, a daughter of Bilsington Rocky, was
knocked down to LJ Mann of Mayn Pern Farm, Falmouth, Cornwall.
