The first Blonde Sale held at the Bristol Sales Centre was very successful with all cattle sold. Bidding was keen with many prospective buyers going home with an empty trailer.

Doncombe Sarpedon

Top price of the day went to D Knight of Doncombe, Chippenham with Doncombe Sarpedon, born June 2001 sired by Blackwater Jockey, it made 2200 gns and went to Mr G Bowyer of Langridge, Bath.

Bilsington Samson weighing in at 1075kgs sired by Ravensworth Mitchel, sold for 2100 gns from P DeGiles of Ashford, Kent bought by Mr Collins (Gore Cross Farms) who runs approx. 1000 suckler cows. Mr Collins also bought four more bulls.

Jones & Garratt of Ashford, Kent made 2000 gns with Egerton Sissinghurst, born June 2001 sired by Druk Nenuphar went to Mr Pike, Trowbridge, who also bought Egerton Rapunzel an in-calf heifer from the same vendor for 950 gns, making the top priced female.

CA & SI Blackman secured a bid of 900 gns for Burfield Sunflower, EBV 31, which was sold to Mr G Wright.
