A small entry of Pedigree Aberdeen Angus Bulls and Females at the annual autumn show and sale at Borderway Mart were presented to a good attendance of buyers.

16 month old bull Borderline Borderer which sold for 2,000gns

Local Breeders Michael and Ann Story, Hobbiesburn, Longtown, Carlisle hit the top spot with their single entry Border Lyne Borderer a June 2001 son of Galcantray Preditor, he gained 2nd prize in his class and Reserve Male Champion and sold for 2000gns to J McGie & Sons, Mid Threave, Kirkcowan.

Next in the prize list was a January 2000 son of Cardona Eagle, Haymount Gertono exhibited by CS Page, Oak Tree Farm, Carr Lane, Newport, Brough, East Yorkshire and bred by Messrs Arnott, Haymount, Kelso he changed hands at 1800gns finding his new home with D & PM Bousfield, Trainlands, Maulds Meaburn, Penrith.

Females peaked at 1200gns for Blackwatch Barbara Katie with her heifer calf at foot, Mary Hamnett of Upperwaterside Farm, Disley, Cheshire was the vendor, with the new owner being D Butler, Bucks Farm, Hale Nook, Out Rawcliff, Preston.
