Middleton in Teesdale Prize Show and Sale of Swaledale Gimmer Lambs

On Friday 16th September 2005 at Middleton in Teesdale Mart, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their annual prize show and sale of 7,331 Swaledale Gimmer Lambs.

An increased entry from the previous year averaged £33.90 (-£10.01). The show was kindly sponsored by Nat West Bank Plc and was judged by Mr R Booth, Feizor who made the following awards:

1st and winner of the Stan Davis Trophy – Messrs R Marwood & Son, Long Green - £180 to M Wallace.

2nd and winner of the Shield for the best pen in ‘A’ District – Messrs C R Raine & Sons, Stanhope Gate - £110 to E Thompson.

3rd – Messrs A E Iceton & Son, High Birk Hatt - £75 to J Reed.
