Middleton in Teesdale Prize Show and Sale of Mule Gimmer Lambs for NEMSA Members

On Tuesday 13th September 2005 at Middleton in Teesdale mart, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their annual Prize Show and Sale of 5,540 Mule gimmer lambs for NEMSA members.

The overall average levelled at £54.79 (-£7.88) from 2004.

The show, kindly sponsored by Carrs Billington, Barnard Castle, attracted increased entries creating stiff competition for the judges, Mr A Teward, Mr M Dickens and Mr D Charlton who made the following awards.

Mr Dent of Wythes Hill and his 1st Prize lambs

1st – Winning the G M Teward & Sons Cup and NEMSA Rosette – Messrs M C Dent & Son, Wythes Hill - £220 to A Teward.

2nd – Messrs J B & G E Luck & Son, Milestone House - £88 to Messrs Bainbridge

3rd – Messrs J & S E Bainbridge, Dousgill - £105 to C Morris

4th – Messrs P R E & E Marwood, Huller Bush - £80 to T Simpson

5th – Messrs E W Guy & Son, Nova Scotia - £72 to M Dobinson
