Lockerbie Second Sale of Ewe Lambs

At Harrison & Hetherington Ltd second main sale of Halfbred Ewe Lambs on Tuesday 6th September 2005 a total of 1844 Sheep were sold. As with all other sheep sales this year the buyers were selective with good sheep finding new homes at good money and all others looking value for money.

Topping the sale at £68 were an excellent pen of Halfbred from M/s R & A Wilson, Marwhirn, Monaive. Texel x Ewe Lambs sold to £62 from M/s Scott, Copewood, with Suffolk x Ewe Lambs selling to £50 from Mr RG Dunlop, Cannee, Kirkcudbright.

At the first sale of Store Lambs all classes were keenly bid for selling to £38 for Texel x NCC Lambs from Crofthead Farms, Moffat. The 764 Store lambs averaged £33.96 per head.
