“ LATTER FAIR” GREYFACED EWE LAMBS

On Thursday 15th September 2005 Harrison & Hetherington, Carlisle conducted their noted annual Latter Fair show and sale of Greyface ewe lambs when they presented 8000 head.

A pre sale show was conducted with fifteen outstanding pens of lambs presented to our two judges Mr H Emslie and Mr D Hetherington both judges came to an unanimous decision awarding the Champion rosette to Messrs B&C Moore of Highside, Kellah them retaining the Dodd & Co Perpetual Trophy again.

The Reserve rosette was presented to Messrs WM&C Wallace of Gapshield. After enjoying a wonderful show well conducted by both judges, the sale went very well with prices exceeding all expectations. Both tupping and running ewe lambs were well sold with an overall sale average of £65.02 (-4.02p).
