“Second” Prize Show and Sale of Mule and other breed Gimmer Lambs

On Friday 24th September 2004, at Kirkby Stephen mart, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their ‘second’ prize show and sale of 1,528 Mule and other breed gimmer lambs with a show for NEMSA members lambs, which was sponsored by Ewtag, Long Marton and judged by Mr Merrin, Thirsk who made the following awards:-

1st – winning the HSBC Trophy – Messrs D J & S Atkinson, Abbey Park - £74 to Messrs G N Robinson

2nd – Messrs A & R Birbeck, Windy Hill - £67 to Mr Merrin
3rd – Mr I R Cousin, Rookby - £65 to Mr Merrin
4th – Messrs K A Brown & Sons, Asby Hall - £59 to Mr Merrin

There was a total clearance with an overall average of £54.20 (down £5.72 on the year).
