Kirkby Stephen New Fair Sheep

Harrison & Hetherington held the Annual New Fair Prize Show & Sale
of 3217 head of breeding sheep at Kirkby Stephen Mart on Thursday 20th
May 2004. The show of Mule Hoggs with lambs at foot was kindly sponsored
by Messrs Taylor & Braithwaite, Dyke Nook, Sandford, Appleby. A quality
show was presented to the judge Mr C Briggs, Ambleside and the following
awards
were given.
1st Winter Bros, Clickham - £72 to M/s. C I & S Briggs, Ambleside
2nd Winter Bros., Clickham - £80 to M/s. J A & C A Gibson,
Selside
3rd G Sowerby, Terrys Farm - £66 to Mr W Raine, Renwick

A large ringside of buyers ensured a fast selling trade for all classes
with Swaledale Ewes & Mule Lambs topping at £72 per life.
